I SCORED THIS FROM AN ANTIQUE VENDOR IN COLUMBUS, OH.  HE ADMITTED PLUGGING IT IN AND GETTING NO PICTURE.  THE CRT CHECKED DEAD ON THE TESTER.  I RAISED THE VOLTAGE TO 8 VOLTS AND LET IT COOK FOR A LENGTHY PERIOD OF TIME.  THE SAFETY GLASS IS CRACKED.  I LATER DETERMINED IT COULD NOT BE REPAIRED.

I SOFT STARTED THIS AND ACTUALLY GOT A PICTURE.  THIS WILL NEED A FULL RECAP.  THE LOUDSPEAKER IS TORN AND WILL NEED REPAIR.

THIS IS A HOT CHASSIS SET.  FORTUNATELY, THE SWITCH SWITCHES THE POWER SUPPLY.  ALL I WILL NEED TO DO IS POLARIZE THE PLUG.

THE SHOT HERE WAS TAKEN AFTER SOFT STARTING, BUT BEFORE RESTORATION.  THE HUMBAR ON THE RIGHT IS THE RESULT OF BAD LYTICS.  I ONLY KEPT IT ON LONG ENOUGH TO GET THIS SHOT.  THEN I POWERED DOWN.

THE VIDEO BOARD.  THERE ARE A FEW CAPS TO CHANGE HERE.  THEY DID MAKE RADIAL LEAD BUMBLEBEE CAPS.  GET THEM OUT OF THERE.

THE SELENIUM RECTIFIERS WILL BE REMOVED AND REPLACED WITH SILICON DIODES.  THE FUSISTOR WILL BE REPLACED WITH THE APPROPRIATE SIZE FUSE.  THIS WILL GIVE ADDITIONAL ROOM FOR NEW ELECTROLYTICS.

REAR AND FRONT OF CHASSIS AFTER RECAPPING.  ONE LYTIC PLACEMENT WAS BAD.  IT WAS TOO CLOSE TO THE DAMPER TUBE SOCKET.  RESULT: REDPLATING DAMPER.  THE PIC BELOW SHOWS THE FIX.

THE CAP IN QUESTION IS CIRCLED IN WHITE.  I MOVED WHERE THE RED CIRCLE IS.  THAT SOLVED THAT.  THE YELLOW CAP ON THE RIGHT WAS RESTUFFED.

I REPLACED THE MISSING MOUNTING FEET WITH SOME FROM A HOME IMPROVEMENT STORE.  AS YOU WILL SEE, THE CRT HAS SEEN BETTER DAYS.  I HAVE SINCE REPLACED IT.  THE SHOTS SEEN HERE ARE ON THE OLD TUBE.
